Vincent Godfrey is a conductor, clarinettist and arranger working in the South East and London. Born in Wales, Vincent began learning the clarinet at a young age and has performed globally. Highlights of his performing career include playing at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Brussels Cathedral and at Carnegie Hall during the New York Wind Band Festival.
Whilst studying for his BMus at the University of Surrey, Vincent developed a passion for conducting and in July 2016 completed his MMus in Conducting under the tutelage of Russell Keable. During his university studies he conducted various ensembles including the Symphony Orchestra, String Orchestra and Concert Band.
Outside of orchestral music, Vincent has a huge love of jazz and has played at music festivals with several jazz groups. Vincent also holds conducting and teaching posts at the Hindhead Music Centre and Fullbrook School in Surrey. He has been the Musical Director of the Fleet Orchestra since 2014.
